Hey guys,
I'm looking for some advice on re-building Dads 340ci 4bbl engine in his 1973 'Cuda. It's a good engine as is and was fine when pulled from the bay but I'd like it to be more streetable rpm wise and perhaps pushing the 400hp mark. Dad doesn't want anything too wild, just a nice cruiser with power there when needed. I purchased some NOS truck 3.08 heads a year or so back and would like to use these. It currently has W2 heads with some custom porting.
I would like to put the 3.08 heads on, a new manifold and a lower rpm street cam. The manifold we buy HAS to to accept a 340 4bbl Shaker set up. It has a hi-rise on now but we don't mind losing a little hp and high end rpm to fit the Shaker. All items will be installed professional but I'd like the manifold to be a direct bolt on and matched as possible to the 3.08 heads. Any input is appreciated.
Thanks,
Carl
