Sorry to hear about that Joe, I hope you find it quickly.  I am in Georgia and will keep a lookout for it here.

Unbeleivable. I dont know what id do in this situation. My GF got mugged a month or so ago. All i wanted to do was kill someone. Then, last week a guy got ahold of us and had found the purse in his back yard. I was happy, but her wallet is still gone. Its great to have something returned, but you still feel really Pi$$ed off!!  :villagers:

not a car, just a theif story, i hope all works out.

sorry again. this is rediculous!  :swear:

I've posted this at another forum I'm quite active with, so hopefully someone between all the sites recognizes the car and calls it in.

Hello everybody,  thanks for your support and your tips and suggestions on how to find the car.  As js27 alluded to, it would have been really enjoyable to have caught them in the act.  I do not have much use for a thief, as someone else on here suggested, they should treat car thiefs as they used to treat horse thiefs.  Anyway, I have a possible lead to follow up on.  It turns out this carthief'n kind of thing has been happening a lot in my neighborhood.  I will make a suggestion to everyone else here; if you have a nice Cuda or Challenger keep a close eye on it, especially people who seem to like the car a lot, and especially "friends and aquaintances".

Joe.

don't get me wrong for what I am about to say, but from your picture you posted of your gorgeous car, it was under some sort of tarmac, did/do you leave your car outside for others to see? Granted, you SHOULD be able to leave your car outside and not have to worry about it, but in this day and age, no way, I personally keep my car  locked in my garage, out of sight, out of mind

If I was a betting man I would bet it is not too far from where ever you are . I would guess it was a local who has seen the car before and knew the area . This wasn't a at the moment thing . Either way I wish you luck I have years into my  car and it goes way beyond a money thing . GOOD LUCK !!!

Hey folks,

I thought of a couple more points about my car.  It had an alunimum Mopar performance water pump and water pump housing and the crank and water pump pulleys were both chrome.  It also had a 7 blade clutch fan.  I have a suspicion who was behind stealing my car and they are both locals.  However, I haven't found any evidence to really pursue the matter.  As for KZ's point, I did keep the car in a car port.  I don't have a garage.  I thought about sending the car out of state to my mom and dads house but then I wouldn't get to drive it.  I bought the car because I enjoyed driving it.  It reminded my of the '80's when me and my best friend would cruise around the local small towns in his black '70 Charger and do donuts and burnouts.  Anyone here enjoy donuts and burnouts?  That was back before these cars actually became worth something.  The Challenger also reminded me of my college days when I had a '70 Fury.  It was a really nice 2 door hardtop bucketseat car with a 440, but I wrecked it when a 16 year old girl ran a stopsign.

Joe.

If you have suspects, try to discreetly question their neighbors, unless you know the neighbors to be friends of theirs. That's how my friend found his car. One of the neighbors saw the guys pushing it into their garage.
