I keep checking this thread for some good news. I had a hopped up mustang stolen from me in high school.  :misbehaving: It was the worst feeling to wake up & not see it in the parking lot of my apartments. Keep plugging away on this and I hope you get some leads. Dont give up!!!!

What if he wasnt the low-life that stole it? Maybe he bought it at a yard sale, or traded something for it. Just something to think about.  :stirpot:

I've been calling body shops in my area hoping the creatin who has the car will decide to get it painted sometime.  I've gotten a lot of ideas from a lot of different people on how to best proceed with finding my car, and I've been working on as many of them as I can.   None of them have yet given me a real good solid lead, but I intend to keep trying.

Joe.

Try talking to some of the delivery men in your area ( UPS< FEDEX< DHL ) . As one of them we see a lot in the area if the bum has the garage door open for 1 minute that's all it would take . It's not like there is a lot of blue  Challengers in the area I'm sure . >:(

I'm not trying to be a smart ass, please understand that I feel very bad for you and hope you recover your car. But looking at this thread brings me to a question. I started considering a tracking device. I was surprised to see how badly Lojack scored and how well Forcetracker did. I never saw this tracking device topic come up so I have to wonder how many of these cars are actually protected by more than a simple alarm system?

From what i was able to gather on the internet it is a one time installation charge with no monthly. But that was from a blog not a dealer. But then again GPS devices are a one time purchase with no monthly too. So i think it may be possible.

Not to become too off-topic, but here's the site for that ForceTracker security system: http://www.forcetrackerescort.com/comp_prof.php  I might be purchasing one of these (or two) for my Challenger and Stealth when they're both on the road and mint/near mint.
1973 Dodge Challenger......................The ongoing project. (00/----\00)
1991 Dodge Stealth R/T Twin-Turbo....The sunny day cruiser (RTBoost)
1990 Toyota Celica GT Liftback...........The new daily & winter driver.
All-American Muscle: 'Cudas and Challengers...Still the Elite and always will be.
