**Stolen Car alert**

I report to the Charles County Police about a stolen car that was is a 1970 - 1973 Dodge Challenger.  Recently the vin # was pulled off and the car was painted orange.  The police said they can not go on private property unless someone reported the car stolen.   I live in Southern Maryland.  ANd the car is located on 4215 Livingston Rd. Indian head Maryland 20640.   The car was stolen by a gentleman that we all know in the community as Phil Thomas.  He drive a big red pickup truck with a car transporter.   Any one that has information that would help the police should call 301-609-6488 Det. David Gross.
Good Luck........because they car is in the process of greating a new title with a new vin.  #...

I got in touch with the detective up in MD and found out the car in question had been moved the date of Misslady's post.  The detective said he could still see the tire tracks in the grass.  Anyone on this site from this area of MD seen the car described in this post?

Just wondering if it was a coincidence that the car was moved when that post was entered. I would suggest that the next time someone thinks they saw a clue for the cars location that they PM thecarkid1970. Wonder if the individual that currently has the car in their possession is reading these posts as well?

That is definitely a disturbing post that someone found a similar car in the area that just so happens to have been painted and the V.I.N. pulled off...Hopefully you can find where the car was relocated and catch this car thief.

Here is a link to a car forum 'sting' that ended with the car eventually being dumped at a used car lot (most likely due to all the heat the site was putting out there).

I added your story to that site (3SI) back when it happened and there seemed to be a lot of support, but apparently none of the east coast members noticed it yet.  I'll update the thread again and see if I can't get some more enthusiasts in the search.

Have not found my Challenger, but about 3 months after someone stole the Challenger they stole my 89 Mustang GT.  The Mustang found its way onto Craig's list about a year later and with the help of a timely tip from a neighbor a little help from the cops and some luck I got the car back.  After some investigation on my own and prying info from the cops, I have pretty good reason to believe that a guy from Durham NC, that goes by the name of Keemey and runs a tow company called "Just Towing", stole my Mustang.  I've thought for awhile that both cars were probably stolen by the same opperation.   The police told me Keemey has had a reputation of running a shady towing business for awhile.  If anyone on this site is from Durham or the surrounding area and might have infomation on Keemey or what he might have done with my car, I'll make it worth yourwhile.  Message me privately.
