Karaoke anyone?
« on: May 18, 2008 - 11:58:54 AM »
Just wondering if anyone else likes singing karaoke.  Was at a friend's grad party last night.  Sang some Steppenwolf "Born to be Wild" and some AC/DC "You Shook Me All Night Long"

I've sung since I can remember.  I'm not the best singer in the world, but I will hit the notes.     I'm definitely not one of those guys that live for karaoke night, just a fun thing to do if it happens to be going on.  I dont know, maybe I'm weird.

Dont answer that.   :nono:

I'll sing a few songs if there are any women I want to impress. Kid Rock and Sheryl Crow's "Picture" has helped me many times with the ladies.   :cooldancing:

Just seeing that you replied to this thread from the ain forum page made me want to run for the door!!!    :roflsmiley:  :stirpot:

I did karaoke just once.  The song was picked randomly and it was Hotel California.

I admit the thought is interesting. I have always sung along with any music I am listening to but not in front of people. I was trying to play pool with my brother in law a month back and it happened to be karaoke night at that pool hall. I will just leave it at this, some people have no business even picking up the mic at all. Put it down, back away from the mic...... It got so awful that we just ended up leaving. There was one chick who did a great job on a Patsy Cline song and it all went downhill from there. Once you have heard a strong Mexican accent on a Poison song its enough to make you weep. "Done need nutheeeeeeeeng but a guuuuuuud time"  :puke:

Not quite karaoke but my best buddy and i went to one of the Playland arcades (that used to dot Times Square) back in 1971 where you could put in a couple of dollars worth of quarters, then sit in the booth and record a 45rpm vinyl disc. I hogged the recording not realizing for how many decades that session would continue to haunt me.
This old Jewish lady named Molly was my landlord, my friend and i used to bust her balls every chance we got so naturally we sang "I've Been Busting Molly's Balls" to the tune of "I've Been Working On The Railroad". I sound like a bad version of Jerry Lewis :eek4:
No karaoke for this kid unless there's a keg of beer on hand for me to loosen up with :drunk:

If I start to sing the dogs might howl.  Been told by a couple of people to not quit my day job.  Ouch!
