Who else wants to play tricks on scammers?
« on: May 19, 2008 - 03:36:39 AM »
I got this email today - quite obviously a scam. Normally I would just mark it as spam and delete it, but this time I think Il try having a little fun - and you can play along too - from the comfort of your own home!

I decided it would be fun starting a thread of me leading on this scammer, and allow other members to contribute ideas of things to say to them.

Im going to post the email I recieved today now, and if anyone wants to contribute to my reply just post in this thread and I will reply and post a copy of my message tomorrow. Any questions?

:lol2: This should be good......lol Ask them for a photo and say: "You're sorry to hear about the passing of your late father. You will do all you can to help but want to know more before handing over bank account details, as you can understand, there are a lot of scams around". lol They won't believe their luck "we have another one!!".

Be careful though, this day and age you have no idea how sophisticated these spammers are. There are techniques once they get into your email to get the most used keys & numbers on your keyboard, therefore allowing them a decent chance at finding your pin numbers and passwords etc.

Yeah, she sure sounds hot.   Ask her for a picture, so you know who you are dealing with. Then she'll think she got your attention. I would string her along just to see where this goes.

Send her a pic of you once you get dialouge going. Pick one from one of the following:

Then tell her you are single and rich. And that you are looking for a wife.

This is going to be too much fun! :roflsmiley:

Why not ask Sarafina to send you a box of cash for starters, sort of as a "goodwill" confirmation and you will take care of the currency exchange.

Dearest Sarafina,

I am most greiving of your father.  I will be exceedingly helpful in the transfer of your monies to my bank account.  I have most recently inherited a large sum myself, so I know the problems of which you are facing.  Praise God that we have found each other.  I would very much like to have a photograph of you so that I may know you better.  Please tell me what I can do to aid you.

Tell her your share must be cash, and all $1 bills.

Ask her if she likes oral sex.

Tell her that you'd be happy to help her, but you don't have the $1000 required US banks to open an account, but if she could advance you the $1000 you will open an account and forward the account information to her.
