PLEASE Show me E-bodies with 15x10's!!!
« on: May 21, 2008 - 02:16:31 PM »
I am working on a new project, another '71 Cuda.
Some of you may know already, I have another '71 which currently has 17" wheels which I really like

Originally on this 2nd car, I was thinking 18x12's with 335/30/18's but now having second thoughts. Not sure if I am getting burnt out on the larger wheel thing or just want a little variety/'ole skool (which I have always loved).

So PLEASE, post any pics you may have of e-bodies with 15x10's and some 295's/305's or N50 meats :) I need some convincing :)

Many thanks in advance.

I'll start with this:

I know this isn't a Mopar, but it has the 18x12' with 335's as I was originally thinking...any thoughts?

Hey Goody!

Thanks for your choice

I just sold my '70 Cuda which had 15" Rallyes and played the role of "stock" appearance whihc kept variety in my cars.
Now I have the '71 6.1 Hemi with the 17's which to me is ok since it has been "modernized" a bit.
The other '71 is going to a have 472 Hemi so I was thinking keeping it all ole skool.

The 335's do look killer tho, don't they? ( so is the price tag on tires and wheels  :swear: )

Not to toot my own horn or anything but i think i did an okay job of matching 'old school' and 'new school' on the rim choice of my car. That camaro looks to have 18+" wheels which you start to lose your sidewall. While i run 18s, i also have 28.5" tall tires, which are taller than the 275/60/15s most muscle cars run. So it still has a nice beefy sidewall, the torque thrust style like you just posted is still a classic look.

That camaro looks 'very modern/g-machine', the torque thrusts you posted look 'old school'....my setup is right in the middle.

Just my 2cents!!

Goody,

You did a great job with your Cuda

The torq thrust II style was my original choice over 4 years ago! It's just after seeing so many cars with them, I got burnt out on them plus on an 18" they only come 10" wide. The 17's come 11" wide, I am sure you know that.
The other problem I did not like about TT2 is the aluminum they use tarnishes easily as compared to a billet wheel.

The wheels on that camaro are 18's. the 335's with a 30 series look rather low profile. The look on the camaro is great. I totally understand about you increased sidewall which looks and balances new and old.

Here is a pic I PS's a LONG time ago when I considered TT2's...
