Looks like the drivers side axle, I believe the passenger side has the adjustment screw to set end play

Driverside had the adjuster without lockingdevice, play was 0,15 inch with other side out.

3rd member is out, No Oil!!!!!!!! I have tried 2 years to get this car Ok, I hope this is the last issue. I see it says 3,23 on the ring but when
I tested it before by turning the driveshaft 2 turn and check  the turning of the wheels I got it to be around 4,9-5. That method works for all
my other cars, how can that be?  :banghead:

Everything back together, what a difference! Before when tranny went in third it felt like the car was going to brake in 2 but now you don't hear the rear anymoore.  :bigsmile:

that will not have the center pin , it has or had buttons as it is a clutch type sure grip
 I would say it is not in OK shape it has surface rust on virtually all of the teeth & may be throuigh the case hardening , you may need a set of gears

question ?

so how do you get the buttons out ? (remove them)

usually they fall out & disappear , is there an 1/8 hole through the center pin rigth now ?

I hope it works out for you. I couldn't imagine driving with 4:88's.   :eek7: You must redline at 40MPH.  :lol:
