vibration damper
« on: May 23, 2008 - 04:57:42 PM »
Do you guys have any recommendation of vibration damper for my 383 engine? Should I get a SFI approved damper (BTW, what does SFI approved mean?,
a higher quality or is it something that has to be if you`re racing your car?)
I`ve been looking for a stock MP damper but I`m not sure of what to buy. One of the threaded holes for the pulley is ruined in my old damper.
Many thanks in advance

you can get a decent steel damper for around $120 from various sources , I think 440 Source has them as well as Pioneer & others
SFI is a high quality race certification
you could just Helicoil the bad hole in the old damper if it is in deceent shape otherwise
