I'm sure everyone has painted various bolts and screws for their rides. Then you go to install the freshly painted, new looking hardware and scratch and chip the paint. I know they make sockets to protect the finish but you can't really torque the screws or bolts to any great degree or the plastic socket liner strips. My question is this....anyone tried baking on the finish after the paint dries? I read about doing this somewhere and they said it works pretty well....helps to keep the paint from chipping off due to the wrench/socket.
