74 cuda
« on: May 25, 2008 - 01:13:48 PM »
I have a chance to buy 1974 cuda 318, ralley dash, red with white top, black&white int. 94000 mi. the guy got it in texas in 1983 he said he put 300 mi. on it then moved to washington state towed car up to washington parked in his garage in 1983 said he was going to make a hot rod out of it and lost interest. car has orig. paint all dings&sraches still in car no body work ever.1\4s not rusty, trunk has some pin holes rest of car seems to be solid. has not been run since 1983 he want 5500. for the car. is this worth buying being a 74. I know its not 70 or 71 but it should still be worth buying is it not. thanks for any help.  rlw

Do you know someone who can scan them for you so you can load them at work?

Based on what you said, if the car is in good shape, especially no rust, and the interior is in good shape, I'd go for it.   Bet it only needs a few things to get that 'ol 318 to fire up.

Hi greg i will try to get pics up, The int. is complete but you can tell it has been sitting for years needs headliner, seats need to be recovered, needs new carpet, dash seens to be good shape, glass is good, it has tires from the 70s and old cragar centerline wheels, auto trans, ac car, power brakes. its going to need a little work to get it back on the road.

Just going by what you have said it sounds like a good buy. If I could find something like that in my area I would buy it as I'm looking for another project cuda or Challenger to buy. $5,500 sounds like a good price and you may be able to talk him down a little if you show him the cash.
