My 83 Lebaron 2.6 has been running great now that there is 90deg heat it likes to not start when its hot and hot outside. it did this Tuesday after driving in 90d for 30mins stopped for about 20 min and it ran then die a block from home, today it did the same thing in about 85-90d same trip about 30miles stopped for about 40min ran made it a block and died.

Its not getting fuel--
should I put a switch/temp on electric fanto run after car stops (it suck air in) or put a outside fan on with a switch (suck out) there is an ac condencer on the front.

or run a electric fuel pump with 20psi and a regulator and a return line

what do you think

try a vented gas cap it could just be a vapor lock

As for the heat i will trade places with you anytime. I am in Wyoming it has been 5 above 0 this hole week burrrr Try and change the module ???This happens a lot in hot weather mostly on fords and mopars. When you let it sit and cool down for a well doe's it start right up? If it does i could probley bet that is your problem. This fulls a lot of people makes it look like your car vaper locks. Hello Hi Tech, Are you any where near Jackson Hole? I understand it gets really cold there. The vapor lock thing is quite possible. As for the module, I dont think this car has one. It could be the pick up assembly in the distributor, but the function of the module is done in the engine computer. It is possible the computer is getting too hot. Try running the switch key scan test & check your repair manuel for the codes. Just turn the switch key on- off-on-off-on-off- on & leave on. Then count the blinks of the check engine light. I know this works w/ later Chrysler cars (up thru '98) & it may work w/ yours. Ovmf

Yep just a little east of Jackson. And yes it gets rear cold here. I lived it Mesa for a well it was way to hot. Jackson is a real nice place gods country.Well take it easy and injoy the sun we might get some in a couple of months.
