Snap On Tool Box in Hemi Barracuda Purple.....
« on: May 25, 2008 - 06:21:04 PM »
I'm doing some spring cleaning and I'm selling my limited edition Snap On tool box in Hemi Barracuda Purple. It is a top (KRA4114) and bottom (KRA4107) snap on 40" tool box combo in near *perfect condition*. There is one dime sized dimple on the side of the bottom box, otherwise they are perfect. Also included are drawer liners, manual, and keys. Honestly, they look like they just rolled off the truck. Price is $1600 obo for the set... this is less than half the cost of new. They are located in Guilford, CT. If interested, email me at jzinter at gmail.com and send your phone number.... please do not PM me. Thanks.

At least he is consistant. I would think there would be some kind of graphic if it was special Mopar edition box of some type.

Snap-on is pricey stuff, I paid $2k for my teal colored wagon with the stainless top  afew years back. I had just sold my other Snap-on aviation style taco wagon (the one with springs on the wheels) and although it was almost 10 years old, still got over $1k for it.

That box looks close to the same color as 4C's vert. I would like to see a plum crazy purple box though!!   :woo:

Looks like a pretty good deal.  I priced out some Husky boxes at HD in the 40" size and they were at least a grand.

Sorry.... didn't mean to offend anyone with "another 1st post sale.......". I'm not a muscle car guy... I build trucks. I just figured I'd have more interest in this tool box here. When I bought this I was told it was a special edition plum crazy barracuda purple... its definitely not blue, although the pictures do make it look more blue. The PPG digitizer wet spray number is: 52560, and the full part numbers on the boxes ate KRA4114DPEV (list price: $1495) and KRA4107DPEV (list price: $2135). Sorry that's all the info I've got. I did find this ad and the color looks the same to me: http://toledo.craigslist.org/tls/683032495.html.

Looks good to me.  If I still lived in CT I would be all over it at that price, Plum Crazy or not.

To answer one of the questions I've gotten through email... No I can not *guarantee* the color... I was told it is "Hemi Barracuda Purple", but don't really know what that means. The last four letters of the model number define the color, and I'll call Snap On tomorrow to check. Also, I'm not home today so can't snap any pictures... sorry... I'll try to get some more tomorrow. Thanks for the interest.

$1600 is resonable for them , I paid $800 for mine , older style & more beat up , Pro tool boxes are build heavier with proper drawer locks to keep them from sliding open & ball brg sliders on the drawers & are far from cheap but for most hobbiests they are overkill
