lost my baby boy this weekend
« on: May 26, 2008 - 09:57:34 AM »
we went back east to southern Il. this weekend and after a hard day work mowing and stuff we were going to clean up and meet some of our friends in town for dinner.  we decided to leave our dogs in the house as we have many times before, so we went and ate and when we came back home as we started pulling in our driveway we seen our little boy Bo-Ling laying besides the high way. from the way he felt, he couldn't have been there long, but long enought to get out and get killed.  As I went and picked him up my wife went to check on out other 2 shihzus and they were fine in the house.  She seen where Bo-ling pushed through one of the screens until it popped out and that is how he got out.  We are devistated right now as he was my wifes Bday present when we first got married, he was her first little boy. Bo-ling would have been 13 this July, and still had 3-4 more years with us.  We decided to pack up right then and head home to burry him at his house with his other brother and sister.  On the way home we stopped in a rest stop and a lady was walking a little boy that looked just like him, we couldn't stop crying after we seen that.  We are home and my boy has been buried, but our house is not the same and probably won't be for a long, long while.  We miss him so much right now that it hurts so bad to think about him.

Bo-ling is the boy on the right, the little black & white Shihzu.

Pink,

It is never easy to lose a child. I dont know from personal experiance but having just the thought of losing my little one kills me. My deepest condolenses to you and your entire family. If there is anything that I can do please do not hesitate to ask. Remember that he will never be cold, hungry, or denied anything where he is now and he will always be right there with you.  :sadwavey:

I am so sorry that you lost Bo-Ling.  What a horrible thing to have happen.  I know you are just like me when it comes to your dogs.  They aren't just pets, they are family.  It's just not fair at all.  You and your family, human and furry ones, will be in my thoughts.  Godspeed sweet Bo-Ling.

R/T, I am sorry about the loss of your dog too.  I know your choice to end his suffering had to be very difficult to make, but I am sure you made the right choice.  To keep him going while suffering would have been selfish, so you have given him the greatest gift of all, you set him free.  I will be thiking of you and your family too.

Man, that sucks bud, sorry to hear about that. Little cutie too. :crying: :walkaway: I always, ALWAYS tell myself no more dogs when they go...so far, I've always gone and got another one. My current is my last though. Keep the chin up guys and just think of  Bo-Ling next to a big red fire hydrant, a wheelbarrow sized dinner bowl and all his old buddies from 2 blocks away having a good ole laugh.
