HEllo!
« on: May 30, 2008 - 10:24:54 AM »
Just joined and thought I'd drop my Intro in.

My name's Brent and I just joined due to the fact that it looks like I might be helping my Dad with a possible new project. And no I'm not a kid at home with him

I'm not new to Forums, I'm a member of several Jeep Forums, and I've restored/rebuilt and built up everything on my '78 CJ5. What brings me here is I stumbled across a buddies '65 Cuda that's a One owner vehicle Survivor. Slant Six Auto. I'll attach a few picts as it sits right now. It runs, but having sat it only runs on a squirt of fluid in the carb. Guessing bad gas rotted lines, something like that. I'm thinking a fresh battery and a gas can and hose And I can pull it on the trailer.

Anyway, Greetings from North Carolina. Hopefully He'll end up with it and I'll be his Liason with this board on finding info for him.  :bananasmi:

   Hello Brent and welcome to the forum.  That '65 looks like its been sitting in hibernation for quite sometime.   Looks like it has been kept out of the weather because its looking really good for 43 years old.  So, has your dad actually bought the car?  Hope he gets it.

He's going to look it for the first time on Wed. He said he's taking his Checkbook and since it's also his birthday he may buy himself a little Birthday present  :woo:

Well, he bought it last night.  Said it's in very sound shape. So it looks like I'll be around here more often asking a ton of questions.

I'll probably run down int he next few weekends to give it once over and see what it's gonna take to get it running, rolling and stopping.  Gonna have to find a way to get it up his driveway after being towed home.

Anybody interested in going and seeing it and bringing a truck and trailer  of course with Gas as much as it is, that and food would be covered.  Need to get it from Salisbury, NC to Greenville SC.  I have some Jeep buddies that I'm going to check with too.
