:smokin: cool looking forward to seeing the car !!

Actually it is called Armdrop...a new thing from Rich. I made a post about it sometimes back but in the crash it disappeared

Rich wanted to do something without the cameras so there would be no BS of stopping and going and making sure the camera got this or that

All the fun without the stage I guess

He's hoping for a 256 car turnout and then a process of elimination in the Test & Tune part of the day...

It runs all day/night and tomorrow day and then the night will be the finals

This is about our track

http://armdroplive.wordpress.com/2008/05/27/final-castrol-press-release/

And this is about Armdrop

http://armdroplive.wordpress.com/

There first run at it was at Immokalee Regional Raceway and I guess there were a lot of problems and things they found out as they went a long so they revamped it...now anything can race...car...truck...bike...snowmobile...and they added a bunch of different race events like

ArmDrop Q.T.T. (Qualifier test and tune) that will go all day
ArmDrop - Heads Up Hot Laps
ArmDrop - Dead on Drags
ArmDrop - All or Nothing
ArmDrop - Run What You Brung
Armdrop Rivals this one is competing manufactures
Armdrop-Street car heads up drag
ArmDrop -4 vs. 2
ArmDrop -Stick It Challenge
ArmDrop-True 10”
ArmDrop-Drag Radial
ArmDrop–Truck race-heads up
ArmDrop- Green for Green
ArmDrop -Import vs Domestic

Tonight they are also running the usually Friday night Street Legals...should be a blast...even if it doesn't go as planned....two full days of racing...engines roaring...tires burning...it doesn't get any better !!

Met a bunch of guys from out of town that dropped into my work today so sounds as if there will be a lot of cars new to the city or new to me at least

I'm on my way there now !!

:)

Well, I got one pass in on Friday after I posted...it took 1 1/2 hours to get through the line up...another hour to get throu tech...another 4 hours waiting for the start...then on my first pass I broke my motor...the dipstick blew out, sprayed the windshield with oil and there is lots of pressure coming through my valve covers. It sounds a lot like a broken ring.
This really stunk, 2 days off work and then the money to get me and crew in and only one run...I coulda cried.
There were about 250 cars there and from all over the place, I stayed the day to help other guys I know but couldnt bare to not run the next day so I went back to work.
I will post some pics in a bit.

That engine has been great so far, thanks to you and Barry, I will be on a full scramble now to have something together for the end of Aug. for the Thunder in the valley drags. After I get the motor out I will see if its fixable or if a new short block might be my quickest way back. No matter what I will not miss the Thunder in the valley drags.
