Excuse my ignorance, but I can't quite picture where you would add the cut eyes.

Dont know if it helps or not, but i do have a pair of ebody air shocks you can have for the cost of shipping. They were ran about 10months. I'd only run air shocks for a temporary thing like i did, but if you want the pair let me know!

just use the main leaf out of a scrap set of springs , you need to remove the eyes off both ends of the the main leaf to add it to your spring pack , you discard the eyes you cut off & just use the rest of the leaf

:thinkerg:  Ding! Got it.  Duh, for some reason I was thinking use the eyes...  never occurred to me to use the actual leaf.

Goody, appreciate the offer, but I think now is the time to actually move away from the air shocks.

Some advice - if you have a pick your own parts wrecker near you go get a 360 magnum motor from a van or truck and put in your car after rebuilding. Advantages are - roller cam, good flowing heads and the best part ...... take all of the power steering, water pump, alternator etc and keep the whole front part of the motor. Advantage there is you end up with the cheapest serpentine setup ever and guess waht????? all the pulleys will line up perfectly. Of course you still need the sump CP was talking about. Just my  :2cents: worth. Up in Calgary our local Pick A Part charges about $187 for all of what I mentioned here.

I wonder if the full length leaf spring helpers found at local auto parts stores for like $30-$35 dollars will work? Sam idea as Chryco but might save you the cutting and what not...  :dunno:  I had these on an old 5th Ave it helped a bit.

One other small thing, when changing sumps from a truck to a sedan don't forget the oil pick-up is also different, and if you are changing sumps you might want to baffle it slightly to stop oil surge under braking especially and also acceleration.  just my    :2cents:
