340 6 pack vacuum tube
« on: May 30, 2008 - 05:58:39 PM »
Does anyone have a picture of the correct hose route for all the hoses? I'm thinking I've got something wrong with my layout.

the dist hose hooks to the nipple from the metering block , the secondary carbs connect to the other nipple right near it

Choke pull off hooks to the bottom front of the center carb. The top vaccum port on the side is for the T splitter to the outboard carbs. The vaccum port under the top one is for the vaccum advance, just like what cp said. top right for outboard carbs, bottom right for vac advance. bottom front for choke pull off

Kenny, that engine is installed backwards, he will have trouble with that. The distributor is in the back on your pics

Thanks guys, I'll confirm with a picture later today. Are the vaccum levels different at each of these ports?

technically they are both ported vacuum  & work the same But they don`t , hooked up backwards the secondaries don`t work properly as there is a bleed in the secondary circuit to slow the opening , the dist advance port has no bleed
