holley street avenger jet size

670cfm holley street avenger on a 440, dad wants to get smaller jets (I don't think he needs them) but for the sake of humoring him, anyone know what jets should be run in a street 440?

i think the 670 comes stock with 65 jets in it. I don't know much about tuning, but the smallest jets you can get in that big box are 64.

Why does he want smaller jets?  Does he have a bog?

Unless the spark plugs are black from running rich, why mess with the jets?

this may atually work , with a large engine the pul on the jets will be higher so the larger engine May actually work better with slightly smaller jetting , Holley has a listing of ever carb they make & bthe jet sizes stock in every carb , Look it up & drop 2 sizes , watch plugh color & temp guage closely though leaning out an engine is a great way to lose the head off an intaKE VALVE ON THE HIGHWAY , generally this requires a whole new engine whne the dust settles

I think hes going to hold on the jets, the plugs on the right bank of the motor look like they have seen oil and to much fuel...new plugs go in tomorrow.  Trying to get it ready for power tour.
