lowering the front height

My car sits a bit high in the front- maybe 1.5-2.5". It was suggested by a buddy to lower it some using the torsion bars. It appears to me that I needed to screw them counter clockwise to lower the car, so I started with about 3 complete turns on each side, will check to tomorrow after I have rolled it some. Did I turn them the right way and would that be enought turns?

counterclockwise is the correct way to lower the car , 4 full turns will lower the car 3/4-1" typically , try 4 more & make sure you check the toe in when you find the ride height you like

I did my own alignment using at home gauges. I went down two rounds and didn't change specs for what its worth.

Make sure to go get your alignment checked after you lower it.

  The camber and caster will alter as well as the toe in, but don't forget to check how much room or gap is left between the bump stops, too little and the car will under steer badly as the suspension will not be working.   :working:
