center console glove box lid issues

alright ive tried about everything and this lid wont close all nice and even.  I just did the redye job and even changed the lid and it still wont close all nice and pretty is it the hinge?

There's only a couple of adjustments on these, either the hinge or the latch catch.  Worst case your lid is warped.

You might have to enlarge the slots in the hinge to provide more adjustment range.

That bracket thingie on the lid is somewhat adjustable.  :clueless: I know I have some play. It just looks like you rear part needs lowered?

Is the spring installed right,  Should the spring be to hold the lid down and the arm to hold it up :dunno:

well i hope its right that how it was installed from the factory i may try to switch them around and give it a shot

well im stumped i even compaired it to the one in my T/A everything is installed like it should be so who knows not a huge deal since this car is just gonna be a driver its just weird  :clueless:

When my car was apart I stored a 10lb weight on mine(lid) for a couple months it got a little better.  You can sometimes get it better when you screw it in the car.  Maybe add some washers under the screws to kind of put a reverse twist in it.

Old thread, but I've having the exact same issue with mine. I've tried everything aside from getting a new console lid. What gives?

I have to say that the lids frequently didnt fit all that well when relatively new. I have seen a few that do fit well but not many. Some guys try heating them with a heat gun, some modify the slots in the hinge, and some its a combination thereof.
