    Dave, the differences are in function, such as idle and carb solenoids, relays etc.  For example '74 as I stated above is a two piece harness, but actually there are two of them.  One for cars built before Oct and one after.  Three different part numbers make up these harnesses.  Also, in taking a quick look at the harnesses you have listed I have to ask again on the 70 "A" body where is the other half of the harness.

    So the cheapest rout t for me if all I need the harness for is oil, temp, horn, washer,  what am I missing ?
    I do not need a distributor hook up or alternator; am I missing something. I have independent wiring for that stuff.
    So would the 70 340 be the cheapest way to go?

    Least expensive would be a 340 or 440-6 harness from Year One.  Take it apart and remove all the wires you do not need, then retape it.  Make sure you use the "Moparts" discount.

    you also could just by the engine harness connector at the fire wall and just make your own harness. This would be the cheapest if that is what your looking for.

    Just to clarify We only have the B/E engine,headlamp,rear harnesses, A is referring to A engine not A-body. Also i do not have orginials here to compare to for reference.

    year one has an exclusive contract with m&h electrical fabricators.  y1 paid for the r&d and tooling so they got exclusive rights.  i have an account with m&h for all gm stuff, but i can't buy mopar harnesses.

    bill and rose evans make some nice harnesses for ebodies.
