I'll check the guage, but from the factory guage never going up past the first two lines, only when it got to 170ish it went past them a little.  And the new aftermarket guage seemingly go up and then down when cruising and stopping I think its good. :dunno:

I'll toss a 180 stat inworst case I got to put it back in(160).



sounds like a bad guage.

  Looks like your cooling system is in good shape, just put  180* thermostat in.  :2thumbs:
  Running a restrictor may cause you problems on very hot days, especially if under hard driving, thermostat is the way to go.   :cheers:
