Tail Light questions
« on: June 04, 2008 - 09:22:21 AM »
I am missing a few of the studs and enclosed nuts (bell nuts?) that hold my tail lights on (73 Barracuda). I got new gaskets and without all four on each light, I am still getting leaks. Does anyone make them or know where to find some?
I also need two of the chrome rings - somewhere before I got it, the line the inner two went missing. Were there even any supposed to be there? I have seen them with none and with all four, but not just two.
And one more - polishing the lenses with toothpaste. Does it really work that well?
Thanks

Thanks, I'll start the search for some NOVUS. E-Bay is one of my main shopping routes being stationed over here. The Germans have good products as well, but it is tough figuring out what EXACTLY the stuff is.

Also any place that deals with sheet plastics like lexan, polycarbonate, plexiglass etc. or plastic fabrication will have the novus stuff in stock (like TAP plastics here in California) check your phone book, or you can get it from any pinball parts place like

Not sure where you can find the studs or nuts.  But below I posted a picture of the 'bell nuts' you need, sorry I can't help ya out.

Thanks for the picture - at least I know that I am on the right track. The lights weren't even installed when I bought. They were lying in the trunk and I just stated looking for nuts that looked like they might fit. Now I just need to find some
