What would it be worth to have your car reunited with its original motor and transmission??

Depends on the car.    Me?  Nothing, my car was originally a 318, it now has a 340.

Lucy has hers but Madeline doesn't. Original 383/727, it wouldn't mean much to me as I specifically set out to get a rolling chassis to build the car I want. If Lucy didn't I would be over the moon to have it. Just a nice thing to have.

Number matching wouldn't mean much to me, unless I had a rare car (Hemi or 440/6) or an AAR/TA.  For mine, a 383 R/T - not that much.  It's not important to me to have a numbers matching car.

To get the numbers matching 340 for my 70 Challenger I would probably pay way more than I should, because I am silly like that.

I got a hopped up 440 in my car. I don't give a crap about the 383 2BBL that was in there.   :grinno:

It would be cool to find my car's original 440-4 and 727 - if the dosh were available to me, I'd have no problem parting with it

But it would be very cool if I could find the original owner  :cooldancing:

Russ , you still need that correct emergency brake , long threaded bar for your car? I have an original with your name on it if you are still looking.

If I didnt have mine (I do) it would mean quite a bit.  Just like 72hemi said, because I'm like that, too.
