1971 Dana 60 - Fresh Rebuilt - Zero Miles
« on: June 06, 2008 - 01:51:46 PM »
'71 Dana 60 originally removed from a '71 Hemi Charger R/T, then stored away prior to rebuild.  Could be used in an E-body 'Cuda or Challenger, as spring perches are removed.  All new bearings, new 3.54 street gears (original 4.10's were okay, wanted 3.54's), upgraded with the superior power-lock Sure Grip unit, has backing plates, pinion snubber.  Rear was thoroughly cleaned, checked, rebuilt, and painted by a mopar club member with 25+ years experience rebuilding transmissions and rearends.  Date codes as August, 1970.

Will need new routine brake hardware/pads, emergency brake cables (8-3/4 interchange?), and one brake drum.  Will need new spring perches installed -  previous owner envisioned putting this rear in an E-body, something that can still be done (this B-body rear is slightly wider).  New perches will allow the pinion angle to be set correctly for your application, something the factory did a poor job of on most models.  New Mopar Performance perches sell for only $12.88 a pair at Summit.  This rear also would work in 1972 B-bodies.

$2,695.00. Transportation will be the responsibility of the buyer. However, for $1.00 per practical mile One Way I will deliver or meet someone within a 300 mile radius of Kansas City (Such as, but not limited to, Springfield, MO, Tulsa, OK, Des Moines, IA, St. Louis, MO, Omaha, NE, Wichita, KS, etc. etc. etc.).
