NJ NEWBIE TO THIS BOARD
« on: June 08, 2008 - 05:07:03 PM »
Finally decided to join in the fun. My name is Scotty from the great shores of NJ ....Current owner of an original 1971 Cuda 383 auto a/c original Curious Yellow/billboard car. Found it on vacation in Florida 5 years ago sitting with fiberglass all over (sheet fiberglass) and in primer. Has original quarters, replaced trunk, replacement 70 fender modified to 71. Has numbers matching block waiting to be rebuilt. Has a 440 in it now, but in the fall the car will be repainted and the original block/ ac will go back in the car. car was totally stripped after I bought, used every part that came with it when I put it back together... car now has an argent grill, chrome mirrors as original and cranked down those torsion bars!
Also have a 1967 Barracuda 273 convertible as shown. Found it in poor condition in Connecticut though the bottom of the car was saved due to a bad oil leak!  Redid the interior, paint and freshened up the motor. Love those hubcaps. Got a set of 14x7 steelies going on the back with 245's ....

Got a 1964 coming, so I'll have the trifecta....

Hi Scotty,
Welcome to CC.com!! We love pictures, so the more the merrier!! Sweeeet rides. I have a '68 Barracuda that I only wish looked as nice as your '67. Keep us posted on the '71. Maybe you can start a thread on the restoration. If you need any input/tech advice, this is the place!! Happy Moparing!!

Welcome Scott,

I'm also from the Jersey shore.

You definitly have some nice looking cars there.

Maybe I'll see you at show shows in the area also. I know West End in Long Branch has a good show coming up soon.

I'll let you know the date as soon as I find out...

Jackson Outlet's has a BIG show the last friday of every month, easy 1,500 plus cars every month...
