I asked over there and got less answers than here even though they go.  No biggie, from what i can tell all I need is a helmet and maybe a clamp on my overlflow tube to the tank. And long pants too.

I don't expect to go anywhere near driveshaft loop or cage territory.  Just want to open her up a bit.  Have only floored the car twice.  1st time was my G-tech run and second time I had my wife in the passenger seat, she told me to never do that again.LOL

I should but won't have time to do it.  I think I'm going to get about 3-4 runs in.  I might stop after 2 anyways.  i like that bolt on one like you got but I need to save my  :2cents: for it.  Otherwise the chepies seem like a PITA to put in and I would have to take out the seats and carpet to do it and that isn't happening a few weeks from Carlisle.

Tom

Thanks Stroker, I think tech up at NED actually looks at the cars from what I have heard but I should be good to go.  I haven't bought a helmet yet though.  Hopefully I'll run fast enough to require it.LOL  I would buy one anyways for some safety.

i have the same one stroker has on my car, and there is a HUGE difference in power between our cars...i just rather have it on there! Also playing devils advocate for 'not running one' when you go out this first time Tom. You'll be running those street tires that you currently have on there? I really doubt you'll get enough 'hook' to hurt anything...but its nice having one. I do believe you have to run a loop starting at 13's running slicks..not sure the rules on w/o slicks.

I didn't want to put sticky tires on for that reason, no hook no break.  At least that is what I tell myself.LOL

I'm running these 255/45/17s so I don't plan on having any traction down low.  Just going to walk it out 1/2-3/4 throttle and then have at it.

Tom :2thumbs:

I still plan on driving to Carlisle so I really don't want to break anything.....

I ran a 13.43 @ 105.62 w/2.26 60'.

Tech was ok, Battery hold down, overflow, lugnuts, and neutral safety switch.  And the helmet check too.

Hey everyone, thought I'd keep it all in the same place.LOL

I am in the process of getting a driveshaft loop and some stickier tires.  i have a qustion on the driveshaft loop, here goes, what is the wording in the rule book as far as material specification?  I here 1/4 " steel, but also that if it is 2" wide x 1/4" thick it can be another material?  Can someone set me straight here?  I see some thick Aluminum ones for sale out there and wonder if they are leagal?

Tom

Going to run some 275/50/15's with my new driveshaft/loop and trans combo.  Hopefully it won't go any slower.  But with the heat who knows.LOL

My first water box burnout should be a trip.lol
