E-body photos from Switzerland II
« on: June 10, 2008 - 09:12:45 AM »
Just got these pics from some guys who also attended the carshow i posted about.

Looks like there were at least 20 E-bodies and probably some more that we didn't catch on camera.

Hey Ken! You're welcome.  :smokin:

These guys failed to take any pics of mine - so i'm sure there must have been other E-bodies that they missed as well.

With probably 30+ 'Cudas and Challengers on a single meeting (in such a small country), i just wonder why you never see any of them on the open road.

Great cars! It would be hard to find that many cool e-bodies in one place in the U.S.

You know i was surprised myself to find that many E-bodies there. Would have expected not more than five or so.

Good thing is that all of them are unique in their own way: Mine for example was the only one with polished grille surroundings and benchseats.

Man, that is some fine Mopars there. Have you seen any M46 barracuda's over in your country?  I feel like a minority. Besides Dwight in Canada, I am wondering if any made it anywhere else.

Honestly i don't know. They have covered the M46 optioned Barracuda in a recent article on a Swiss Mopar website. But the Swiss people are a kind of their own... Tried to visit their Mopar forum and it said i have to be a registered member to view it. When i tried to register it said: "We currently don't accept any new registrations!" Now what kind of forum is that!???  :villagers:

Edit: I read that there are only 15 original option M46 Cudas known worldwide. 9 pcs produced in LA and 6 pcs made in Hamtramck. Wonder if yours is one of these registered 15.

I wonder now if it would hold the same value/less/or better out of the country.  You sure can't just go see them anywhere. Even at a show

I have always thought their value was up near what a 'Cuda was.  And they are deffinetly not anywhere let alone everywhere.  I bet if you cruised to 50 shows you most likely would not bump into another Alan.......... :2thumbs: And that is State side :cooldancing:

The article i read does not give away lots of infos. Only that 15 original M46 optioned Barracudas were built in 70. The only 71 Barracuda with this option was a company-car built for catalogue-pictures and showroom purposes. Also initially the M46 option was planned as convertible-only option, but was later during 1970 also offered on coupes.

The few M46 Barracudas that had the sidescoops removed due to restoration, showed that there were actually two different versions of these scoops. The difference becomes obvious when you remove them, as there were two different ways of installing them.

The full article with some pictures can be found here: www.mopar.ch/TechTipps/2008/M46%20Barracuda%20Option/Index.htm

Thanks for the link, could not make heads or tails of any of the write up :roflsmiley:
pretty sure Barry has records of about 400 M46 cars in total, i personally know of about 9 or 10 different M46 cars (all 70's) and would think their would have been more than 15 built, maybe their is only 15 on their registry if that is what it is about. :2thumbs:
