horn wire

    The car didnt have a horn,, so i put one in and im trying to hook it up to the original spot instead of adding a push button under the dash. What i need to know is what color is the horn wire that comes out of the bottum of the column. There is like 4 or 5 of them and i dont want to spice into the wrong one. Theres like pink, green, red with tracer and so on.. I took off the horn cap and that black wire is hooked up.

What year?  The wires should be under the hood or behind the grille already.  Horns weren't an optional item.  Unless you have an aftermarket harness.

Its a 1970 cuda. But it didnt have a horn or anything when i got it. So im not sure if the wire is there or not. Thats why i was looking at the wires right under the dash to spice in to it and run it if it wasnt there

I think on the 70's it is under the hood near the wiper bottle.  Front left if looking at it from the bumper.  Should be 2 loose wires(one has 2 wires in the connector the other has one)

I would find a '70 service manual with the electrical schematic which should show which plug and pin on the firewall bulkhead connector is for the horn and then trace the engine harness wire to find out where it terminates.  I only have a '73 manual.  On the '73 it is a dark green wire on the "K" pin.  The oil pressure sending unit, regulator and ballast wires are on the same plug.  IIRC one plug is for front lights, one for engine and one for accessories.

Still haveing trouble. Im bout to just start new with it but not to sure how to do that. Its frustrating trying to figure this out.

According to my '70 service manual. The black wire with the white tracer(as pictured earlier) is the "horn ground". The "horn feed" is a dark green with red tracer wire. One end terminates at the horns, as said before, somewhere by the washer bottle. That DGN/R* comes from pin 24 of the bulkhead connector. It looks like it's the top left of the outside large one in the book. I'll look at my car when there's more time.
