What $425,000 will buy these days
« on: June 12, 2008 - 02:17:33 AM »
My company just took delivery of this yesterday (6/10) and I drove it on it's first revenue run today from San Diego to LAX.  40 feet long, 47 passenger with 325 cubic feet of luggage space (about 20 times what the average car can hold) and four screen LCD DVD video.  It's powered by a 400HP C13 CAT driving through a ZF ASTronic 12 speed automated manual transmission - a computer controlled manual transmission, clutch and all, that does all the shifting for you.  We're getting another one in two weeks and a third around the end of the year.

A few weeks ago, someone did a poll to ask if a certain 70 440 6bbl Cuda convertible was worth less or more than $350,000 (http://www.cuda-challenger.com/cc/index.php?topic=45127.0.)  All but one said less and Challenger Gary and I said that something worth that much had to be something you could live in.  Actually, Gary said there had to be real estate attached, but I'm a little more willing to live in something with wheels.  I don't have the money to buy it, but this is a wheeled vehicle I'd pay big $$$ for.

Thats the way to go,   :2thumbs:   the interior of a bus can be modified into a good living area, with the right planning a small area in the rear can be allocated for a garage/work and drive into transport area. I checked out a few mobile homes when I was in America 2 years ago, many great ideas. If cutting up the rear is not on the plans you can always tow your pride and joy.      :woohoo:

I'm down with that!  :2thumbs:  Too bad it would cost about $15,000, even without me getting paid.

WOW,
That's one BIG and sweet ride. Very cool!!! Must be a thrill taking it out on it's maiden voyage!! I'm all about letting someone else do the driving. :grinyes:You never mentioned the powder room. Does it have a bidet & scented soaps? :roflsmiley: Actually I'd be happy with one that didn't stink up the whole back of the bus!!!  :poopoke:

So, put your hat on sideways, start spitting into a microphone, and you can buy a couple in no  :roflsmiley:time at all.

Nice bus though!  Need to have some skills to drive around that bread box!  :grinyes:
