Master cylinder... need some help

I have a 1970 cuda that has drum brakes. And i need to change the master cylinder. What is a good one to go with that works good?  I need some good stoping power. I got a big 440 in it.

A different master cylinder isnt going to give you more stopping power.

with Ted, as long as you have 4 wheel drum brakes, your car is never going to stop that well no matter what you do. As long as you are sticking with the drum master cylinder any decent name brand should be fine. Raybestos, Bendix etc.

If i put it back to disc on the front can i do it with out changing hte vacuum on the car?

Sure, you don't need power disc brakes.  Just use manual discs, works fine for me.

All disc brake '70 E bodies were power.  Manual wasn't an option until '71.

the 74 Dart had manual disc brakes & is an easy master cylinder to get rebuilt for a manual disc drum conversion

Hmmm, when we looked it up at Car Quest, It showed 2 for 1970 disc brakes, 1 part number for power disc and the other for manual discs. Either way, it does work, it is on my car now and no problems
