:faint:  Simply amazing!  You see the bids?  Already up to $22,599!  I would love to see the restoration on this baby!

You see the first question?  I hope he was just busting the seller's gonads because if he has to ask a question like this he has no business bidding on this auction!!!  :roflsmiley:  :smilielol:

"Q:  so,the one body pic is a hull in the weeds and the engine original to the car is a V6?

A:  The bag in the picture is covering up one of the cylinders - this is the original v8 440 4-speed engine vin numbered to the '69 Dodge Daytona.  "

:eek2:  I wouldn't call that a car anymore...  So pretty much someone just paid 22k for a fender tag, vin tag, and motor with tranny.  Amazing.

Like I said before the car can be restored without rebodying it. I have seen cars worse than that be restored and they were documented so know one could say or wonder if it had been rebodied.

:clueless:  I am not trying to be a jerk with this question, but at what point is a "restored" car considered a rebody?  Looking at that pic, at least 90-95% of that car will be new body parts even if a great body man does the work.   :dunno:

Ah the old Ship of Theseus question.  Folks have debated that one for a long time now.

I agree, I doubt you could find a shop to even take that on. It would be "more" than a little difficult to do at home unless you have a frame machine. And it's not a hemi car. Would still be much cheaper (although I know this is totally wrong) to buy a driver 69 charger for 30k and make a clone out of it or if you are unscrupulous swap vins-which is what I suspect will happen to this "car".
