Happy Fathers Day
« on: June 15, 2008 - 08:59:48 AM »
My own father passed away in 1984. Complications due to Alzheimers. In one of his lucid moments that last year he came into my room and simply said, "I want you to know I love you", and walked out. Although not at the time, his message comes through loud and clear as the years go by. Thanks Dad :-[ :) All of ya's who still can - take a picture, record a laugh. That old fella can tell us a lot. He's been through some times and deep down loves his kids.

That is great advice bro!!!  My Stepdad passed away during my last deployment.  He was a huge part of our family.  Wish I could tell him Happy Fathers Day.  Happy Fathers Day Bob.

To all the other fathers on the board Happy Fathers Day!

My Dad passed away a week 7 years ago, one week before Father's Day (and my B-Day which is the 16th).  I actually had lunch with him 36 hrs before he passed.  He told me to buy my wife flowers and tell her how much I love her.  Never dreamed 3 days later I would be planning his funeral.  I'll never forget his little piece of advice.  Thanks for reminding me.  I think I'll buy my wife some flowers today (even though it's Father's Day).

Happy Father's Day to all.  My father is still and afterbeing married for 27 years he still gives me advise from his 48 years of being married to the same woman.  His advise is to look at each day as your last.  Tell your children that you love them and are proud of them.  Last treat your wife as your girlfriend because you will live much long.

Happy Fathers Day to all Board Members,  My Dad passed away in 1974 so has been gone for a long time.  I was with him when he passed and he knew then that I loved him.  I miss his ways and his wisdom.  Thanks for passing on the words of wisdom to all.  As we get older we realize how true some of all of this is.  I hope you have a great day!!
