General Lee really a Chevy Impala?

went to a local car show yesterday and a guy pulls up in what looked like a copy of the General Lee but when he comes by I see it was a frigging 1968 Chevy Impala!....whats up with people that cross dress? :horse:

Sounds like a mutation or a virus of some type that needs to be eliminated....and I know just the right bunch of good ole boys to do the job on that Impala!

1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

i had an 86 honda prelude i bought for driving back and forth to work and one weekend we got bored and painted it up like the general, peoples reactions were priceless. i had one guy walk up to me with an attitude and say "thats not the same car from the show, they used a GTO."

I thought I replied to this thread early this morning. I wish all the Duke cars were Impalas lol. Makes me sick to think how many extra Chargers died during the years that show was being made.

A Chevy trying to be an iconic MoPar...no way!! :swear: :swear: :swear:  A friend and I found this on our way back home from Carlisle in '04.  It was in some small town on the west side of Illinois and that's all I can really remember about such a horror on four wheels. :puke:

If I was financially able I'd like to purchase any Charger painted GL and re-paint it another color.Then re-sell it.I would never get all of them...But I'd try. :dunno: :poopoke:
