    This looks like an original classic ad for the Barracuda and it's a really cool picture. But WTF is that oversized necktie on the grille???  :screwy:

    ...oh well, it was the time of free love and weed, so i guess that explains it all.  :smokin: :smokin: :smokin:

    I've never seen that heart with deviltail before, but it appears on the necktie and also in the slogan on the bottom right. I think it looks quite cool and would made a great print on a shirt.

    Was that some sort of brandlogo at that time, or just a logo used to promote the 'Cuda? Maybe like the roadrunner cartoon character for the Roadrunner cars, which also appeared on some decals.

     :drool:  Nice ad you found!  The necktie has a heart with a devil's tail on it.  I think DoNotChallengeHer (AKA) Jackie has a tattoo of it on her somewhere.  Someone will explain it better than me.

    The slogan going on at that time was "Plymouth makes it"
    The heart with the devil tail was associated with the slogan.

    Would be a great garage wall item to have.

    How come that all of the cars on these advertising visuals have the frontbumpers painted in bodycolor??

    Was that standard in 71 and the chromebumpers were an option?

    The 71 Challenger pictured has an Elastameric front bumper and they are made of some sort of rubber compound and where painted to match the color of the car and only the Challengers had the upper section blacked out like in the picture :2thumbs:

    Barracuda had these bumpers available on both 70 and 71 cars as an option.   It is beleived that very late in the build for 1970 that a Challenger could get an Elastameric bumper for a 70 Challenger.  But most definetly available on all the 71 Challengers as an option :cooldancing:

    It's on my ankle.  ;)  We just always called it the Plymouth heart. Love the devil's tail. It showed Plymouth was bad a$$.  :naughty:
