for the challenger....rallye guages .....are there any major diferences between the 70 and 72 rallye harnesses?

I don't think there is any difference at all. I had 72 gauges in my 70 for a time.  Physically the gauges are different, but the same wiring.

Are there any issues with a seat belt warning light or something on the '72-'74 Rally dashes?  I dunno since my car has a '71 style in it.  :dunno: 

Like MEK said, physically they are the same but the difference visually is the placement of the reset knobs and the earlier '70 + '71 Rally dashes have an 8k tach, where as the later ones had a 7k tach.  I wonder what the difference in the tach makes with the wiring?  :clueless:  :dunno:
1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

I would need 1 of each year manual to check wiring positions , I don`t have both amnuals though

biggest differences between 1970 and 1972 wiring harnesses is teh location and type of horn relay.  Other than that, they are identical.

are you sure the position of the wires at the firewall plug is the same , I don`t believe they are
