Seam sealers ...

I am getting ready to seal the seams, looking for suggestions on whether you guys used tube or brushable sealers.

:bananasmi All depends on the area you want to use it on buddy, some areas need the brush on look for authentisty and the tube sealer for tighter areas that need just a finger wipe :2thumbs:

3m paintable body urethane caulk. The good stuff comes in the sausage tube. You can brush this in as well use a cheepo 2 inch brush with a LITTLE lacquer thinner to move it around. If you have a hard time finding it I can get any 3M product from my local 3m supplier.or I can snatch a tube from my body shop

Keep in mind that the 3-M fast and firm can be used sraight out the tube but will shrink after painted if applyed to thick. what i did was take laqure thiner fill a cup so a brush could be dipped in it and get that stock brushed look with it after you aplly it with the tube.now was that a real long run on senteance or what
If i do it again i would use a 2 part one made by "fusor"

Thanks everyone, I ended up using both the tube and brushable caulk so it will look like the original.

Going out to paint the bottom now!  :cooldancing:
