09 running around in vegas
« on: June 24, 2008 - 09:47:27 PM »
My friends are in Vegas and saw this running on the strip. They said it was a manual transmission car.

I'll take that one!  Looks like Rallye Red to me!  And a manual, way cool!

That must be a 2009?  No stripe either, which is supposedly put on at the dealership.  Did it have a dealer plate?

I like the red!  Very sharp!  :grinyes:

:clueless: What's the box on the dash???

My friends said that the box on the dash was some kind of computer. Definitely an '09 and I didn't ask if it had a plate. If it did it was probably a manufacturers plate.

No, they come with it already on, but you can opt for stripe delete on an SRT.

Oop, my bad...  :misbehaving:  I was thinking of this thread by hannah, I guess it was mentioned that they weren't put on at the factory but at another facility, which one I dunno... if you look at the pics the cars don't have stripes.

don't wait TOO long, remember the article says a convertible is not in the works at this time, and, if gas prices continue to increase, and the Challengers don't sell well, the convertible may be nothing but wishful thinking

I heard a rumor (through the usual chain from a guy whos brother is a design engineer at Chrysler :blah: ) that Chrysler is devolping a 600 hp (no that's not a typo) hemi Challenger for 2010. Whether it is naturally aspirated or not and what displacement he wouldn't say. But the plan is basically (from what he said) for Chrysler to sit back and have Ford say they have the most powerful and the best muscle car (Shelby GT-500KR) and then come out blow them out of the water.
