The best day at work ever!
« on: June 25, 2008 - 12:27:52 AM »
Well i work lot guy at Nothtown Dodge and this morning we delivered the first Challenger in Western New York. I naturally could not get away from it and neither could most of the people working at the dealership.  My manger knowing i own a 74 Challenger wanted me to pull my car up and compare and take some side by side photos of the two. After all that like all cars being delivered needed a full tank of gas so since nobody but the owner was aloud to drive the car they needed someone to go with him to the gas station. So all in all i can say that I am the first person to ride shotgun in a Challenger in Western New York. :ylsuper:

That is a NICE lookin' Challenger!  Love the paint and I'm oh so happy they didn't fart with the concept too much like they did on the charger...

NIIIIIIIIIIICE pictures.  I'd love to see a good side-by side to see how the body lines compare.

Neat man - very neat.

I got to sit in a new black Challenger last Sunday and I can say that I like the new Challenger even more after getting to see one up close. I don't know about the 6.1 Hemi as far as gas goes but a RT would be fine for me.

Yea if you get the srt8 you have to pay like a $2k gas guzzler tax.  If i was buying one that would not stop me one bit.
The funny thing is that my car weighs like 800 lbs less.

That's awesome Dave! :bananasmi That would have made my day too!! Thanks for sharing the pics. You've got a nice looking ride. I think I would have asked if I could drive it back. Even though I'm sure the answer would have been no, you never know!! :dunno: He may have made your day even better. I like the black color. Nice car! ;D

The exhaust has a nice rumble to it and gets a lil loud at wideopen. During the ride to the gas station he opened her up, gave me a chance to get sucked into the nice bucket seats comfortably.  Did you guys know that it can tell you the G-forces you are making. Awesome **** love the car

No. They are non functional period.  But im sure some aftermarket company will find use for them.

"Other changes from the concept include making the hood scoops functional (they primarily vent the engine compartment rather than provide any ram air for the engine) and adding a chrome filler door marked FUEL in the original typeface from the 1970 model. "

Yea I missed that part. One magazine just stated that they were non functional.  But still im sure some company will make better use of them.
