Mine is an automatic and will stay that way.  It may get some changes but that is yet to be seen except to be built up some to take my new engine.  I would really like to have a 5 speed or more automatic in it.  Gordon
Got a pretty good start on my M46 optioned Barracuda restoration but now it is on hold till I can gather more funds.  Still need a few parts for it.  SIU Graduate 75 AAS Automotive Tech, 94 BS Advanced Tech Studies, 1997 MSED Workforce Education and Development

1  x  TorqueFlite-727
1  x  Tremec TKO-600 5-Speed

As far as factory transmissions go (A833 - TF727), both are fantastic in their own right.

Every single car I've owned has been a manual transmission except for one.  My first car was an '83 Nissan Sentra with a 4 speed.  Dad gave me some basic instruction.  Put that pedal in and put it in first then take the pedal out slowly.  I had 2 days to learn how to drive it before school started that year.  I did fine heading into school, until I got to a hill...after a full stop :(  I was there for awhile.

My Barracuda street car is a 4 spd. My race car is an automatic. And looking forward to stageing next to you in the spring. Got that fuel tank fixed? We will dominated that track :2thumbs:

Took the Challenger into town to check out the 2008 that just arrived. Parked next to it and the sales people came out. They were looking in the window and one say's "oohhh look, it's got the pistol grip, that's what will be available on next years Challenger". Sounded like an important selling point for them as one guy kept mentioning it in conversation.

4 speed.  Converted from auto.  My first car in 1974 was a 1968 Roadrunner 383 4 speed.  I was hooked.  Got it 2 months before I got my license.  I could just get it into 2nd gear before I hit the end of my driveway.  The first time I drove an automatic I banged my face on the steering wheel when I hit the clutch (oops it was the brake).
I may be schizophrenic,
but at least I have each other

Been there / done that , a friend tossed me the keys at the track one night , pounded on the clutch about 60' out  :hyper:

Got used to auto with my Chally, before I've only had cars with manual transmission.
I'm happy with having auto in the Chally, and it'll stay that way most likely.
