Paint gun setup
« on: June 26, 2008 - 09:42:31 AM »
As the title suggests I am looking for help on how to setup my spray gun to start painting. I've looked through several books and websites but have not really found a good explanation of how to setup the adjustments on the gun. Can someone offer some advice?
Thanks

I'm in the same situation as you. I am about to try and primer my car this week end and have never set up a spray gun before. I went to the www.autobodystore.com  They have some great tips there.  Go into the classroom > the basics > the basics of basics > Painting tips .  Also go into the forum sections and look around. There was a great tip on setting your air pressure at the gun ect. but I forget exactly  wich section I was in.  It will take a little reading time but you can find a lot of good information here.

The gun I borrowed for mine(sharpe1) didn't come with instructions but I went to the manufacturers website and it was there.  The inst showed what all the knobs do and how to adjust them. :2cents:
