doubt anyone has a kit, but if they do, I have the assembly manual.....
most of the time you see these sold that are old circle track cars
No kidding?! Would it be hard to make copies? Are they the full size blueprints or a 8.5x11 manual?
The kit car program ran from roughly 1975 to 1980. While the prototypes were Challengers developed by Petty Enterprises, the actual cars sold via the program were skinned as A body Darts and F body Volares. Yes, they were sold as short track, oval racing cars. Although the Unser's ran them up Pikes Peak a few years as well.
They were a package that could be bought as complete, turn key car, or in an state of assembly form a basic rollcage to a rolling chassis to the complete car. They could be bought with a 355 W2 motor, quick change rear, huge four wheel disc brakes, and a host of Grand National ( Nextel Cup) capable equipment.
They do occasionally pop up on Ebay from time to time. Most are usually pretty ratty and still skinned as F bodies, so they tend to get overlooked pretty frequently.
