Barry you did a great job on that!  Did it work well for you?  Did you notice the difference?

Hey Don,
The new paint / hood setup came after the 340 it came with had a lifter failure. I replaced it with a very well built 360, so lots of things changed all at the same time. I did notice a difference after the engine change for sure, but it was not really hood related.

You could definately hear all the air the engine pulled throgh the scoops with the car at idle from inside the car, it was much louder from the outside.

Think I know what you are after, I opened mine up a couple years ago to get some fresh cooler air into the engine compartment/carb.  I know it really isn't ram air, but sounds really neat pulling in all that air!

Good luck!

We average 13 feet of rain a year here. I did not own a garage at the time.

My T/A and the Barracuda in this thread were both daily drivers, I never had to close up the hood scoops.

Cold air is always good, for average use you would only notice possibly a smoother and slightly more responsive motor. You would really need a dyno to see the difference but there is a difference, cold air for me..   :burnout:

on a dyno you have little or no moving air so you would see the difference more in real use , I have hooked up a few , the best case I have witnessed we sealed the A/C to the hood & drove the car in sub freezing temps , My freind thought the engine had a problem it was running so bad until I lifted the hood & put our hands on the intake , the intake was Ice cold & a running engine at highway speed & we were getting carb icing

Got a question.

Besides the intake icing up, how cold is too cold?

down to freezing the colder the better  as the air density increases

Cool (pun intended).  I heard that it is sometimes hard for the fuel to atomize when it gets real cold.  What is your take on this?
