Welcome to the site Will!!!!

Two or three questions for you.

1.  When is the 09 Challenger going to the Dodge site?  Any insider info on it?

2.  Is there going to be a Cuda also?  Any insider info on that?

3.  Are there any SIU Carbondale employee's there.

Thanks Gordon Clay
Got a pretty good start on my M46 optioned Barracuda restoration but now it is on hold till I can gather more funds.  Still need a few parts for it.  SIU Graduate 75 AAS Automotive Tech, 94 BS Advanced Tech Studies, 1997 MSED Workforce Education and Development

Welcome to the site Will!

My feedback for Dodge?  I'm sorry to see the Viper go, but I think it's an indication that they're willing to make some hard decisions to stay competitive.
The new Challenger is awesome!  Please pass along any info you might have on limited production packages for it.

Welcome aboard and look forward to future discussions and suggestions,  With the Viper going would Dodge look at keeping the V10 alive in the New Challenger as an option ?  :dunno:

 Welcome to forum, Will.  Glad that you made your formal intro.  I saw the new Challenger yesterday at the Downriver Cruise.  The female owner and my Cuda were parked about 30 feet apart.  I got some good pictures and it was my 1st time seeing one in the flesh.  Sweet!  I'll post pics as soon as I transfer them from my camera.

The Challenger immediately drew a large base of spectators.  You would have thought that they were giving money away from the crowd that appeared.  This is the type of car styling that Detroit needs to produce again.

Thanks everyone so much for the warm response... It's much appreciated.

Welcome from New Zealand Will, you have a sweet job mate.
I think Dodge did a fantastic job on the new Challenger, bravo MoPar, bravo. :worshippy

New Zealand??? Do you know of the Flight of the Conchords???  Love those guys... and thanks, I enjoy what I do.

Will posted late Friday afternoon............He must not work weekends........SO he will have a box full of questions tomorrow morning...........

I usually log in a few times over the weekend but this weekend was my kid sisters grad party so I was very busy helping set up, but like I said I am overwhelmed with the warm welcomes.  Thanks so much.  As for the shipping schedules for any of the '08s or other vehicles, that I do not get to see :dunno:

Welcome to the site Will!!!!

Two or three questions for you.

1.  When is the 09 Challenger going to the Dodge site?  Any insider info on it?

2.  Is there going to be a Cuda also?  Any insider info on that?

3.  Are there any SIU Carbondale employee's there.

1. http://www.dodge.com/en/2009/challenger/ ... enjoy! As for insider info, this is where I show my true colors as I can only comment on officially announced information, which sometimes I get a little sooner than most.

2. From where I sit, no signs from Chrysler point to a new Cuda.

3. No Salukis here that I know of.  But if I come across one I'll be sure to let you know.

Welcome to the site Will, glad you found us!   So  . . . what's in your stable??   :dunno:

Okay, feel free to laugh because it is pretty funny, but I roll in a '96 T&C... I won't go into too much detail but I'll say this much... $0 car payment + plenty of room for friends = great times... for now atleast.

It`s already been said but welcome and it`s great to know Chrysler is interested in what us enthusiats have to say.I always heard that we are a small minority in the car market and as such our opinions are insignifigant but hopfully that`s wrong.I know that my wife and I have been buying nothing but new Chrysler vehicles since `87 and hope to continue that way.The Challenger is the long awaited 2 dr v8 rear drive we have wanted and a sister `cuda would be even better so keep on `em to biuld it!  :2thumbs:

Welcome! Happy to see a Chrysler exec spending time with us  Keep up the great work. Keep cranking out those cars! Now that you guys are launching the Challenger I wish you could give us a new Duster. Would fit right in with the economic times and you could offer the 5.7 or 6.1 as a top tier lightweight firebreather

Welcome Will!

I've already expressed my displeasure on this forum about Chrysler taking up the rear in the hybrid/alternative fuel arena. IMHO, Chrysler is dead last with even the duds from GM and FORD offering hybrids to the public. Honda and Toyota are kicking EVERYONE's butts, just like they were doing in the early 70's when we had the gas lines, and oil embargos. I would REALLY like to see Chrysler take the bull by the horns and be forward thinking in the alternative energy dept. We all love (well, most of us love) the new designs (300C, Charger, Challenger) but offering 425 + HP cars (requiring premium gas) when gas is rapidly approaching $5/gallon doesn't make much sense to me.
