What about the Challenger's Rallye scoops?  I've got a funky hood scoop grafted on my rallye hood (bolted on actually).  The previous owner drilled 4 1 inch holes towards the back of the scoop for air.  I don't really like the scoop much and its not really supposed to be there.  He also covered up the front rallye holes.  I'd like to replace the Rallye scoop inserts, but would like to know if they allow air in or are just eye candy?

Well you're missing the inserts in the hood and yes it does allow air in if you dont have the little block off plates.

:iagree:  With the Challengers, all you have to do is to remove a couple of screws from each block off plate and the scoop is opened.  I dunno why they didn't make the Cuda like that. :dunno:

Great, thanks.  I know those scoops are being repop'd so thats not a problem.   Cutting out his weld plates in the hood and welding up those holes sounds like a nice project during the winter months (along with the other patch panels I need in the usual places)

Had the same scoop on my car. If it is a OE plastic one (looks like it check for the pentastar inside the scoop), sell it to a duster/demon guy for $$$ thats what I did with mine. I sold it to a buddy for $75 a number of years ago and he was very excited to get it. I guess they are somewhat rare but  :dunno: on the A body stuff
