New 2009 brochure
« on: June 28, 2008 - 12:06:35 AM »
I'm sure most of you have seen the brochure thats been around for a few months, the one with the black cover and orange letters.
This evening I was at a local cruise and guy there shows me a brochure he got at a dealer that they told him they just recieved today.
It's really got a lot more stuff than this earlier one, first off its full sized and had a lot of pages.  It had a picture of the "Classic R/T" which I had heard about but have been dying to see a picture of.  In B5 blue with black '71 style R/T stripes, and scripted Challenger emblems below the beltline just where they would be found on a '71.  And some very cool wheels, they look very much like vintage 5 spoke chrome cragars!  I now know the '09 Challenger I want to buy!  I just don't know how to be patient for their release, as I think the "classic" won't come out until next spring??
Then there was a page of accessories you can buy for your new Challenger.  Theres a picture of a new Challenger with a T/A hood!! And a go wing spoiler!  SWEET!
I have to get my hands on one of these new brochures.  And as soon as they start taking orders for the R/T classic I'm there!
BTW I stopped at a local dealership today that got their first Challenger in this week, a black one.  I checked it out on their showroom floor, they had a sticker in the window that said "dealer adjustment $30,000".  Yeah right, a local guy just bought a new one a week ago at another dealership and he said he paid $5000 over.  Another local Mopar guy told me a couple weeks ago he checked just about every dealership in the Chicago area about ordering a '09 SRT and only found one that would deal at all, he said they will take the sticker price, the dealer invoice, add the two figures and divide by half, and that is your price.  I'll shop around, but if he is being truthful that dealership which is about 10 miles up the road from me, will be getting my business soon.

WHAT WHAT WHAT?!!?!

T/A hood?

You mean my dream chally? I have always wanted a t/a and I never knew they would be offering this option...

Oh well I'm not patient enough... I guess I'll just be buying a new hood down the line... maybe right before I go blown.

I am still waiting for any brochure, every time I go to the local dealers (and I gone to 11 seperate ones in CO)  I get the crusty suit that will take my name and number and I never hear anything...man, I hate dealer scum.....I am ready to a buy a 09 R/T or 09 classic, when they lose the "dealer premium" up charge.

That's sick! Loving this muscle car rebirth. If you're a Mopar fan and don't like all this, you're not a Mopar fan.

If you go to the dodge.com website you can request a brochure.  I did that a week or so back, but haven't seen it show up in my mailbox yet.  However I did come home last week after work 2 or 3 days to find voicemails waiting for me from the nearest dealership telling me they had a black '08 there that I should stop by and see.
When I stopped by on Friday I asked the salesman for a brochure and he said he had to go talk to the sales manager, who came over and gave me one of the small brochures.  And of course, ask why I wanted a 2009 R/T when I could buy their '08 for only $30K over sticker today!
Thanks for posting the link to see the large brochure kissalien!  I hope that one is the one Dodge sends me!

2008 Challenger #400 showed up at our local dealer this past week. It supposedly is sold for 51k which is 10k over sticker. The buyer hasn't picked it up yet though.

BTW: the body lines and gaps were really well done with even spacing all around. :2cents:

NICE! LOVE the stripe a lot... I see the R/T's being much more popular than the SRT8's in the end.

Dealers are flopping big time on Ebay looking for the markups.  If you do a search of Completed Items for Challengers, just about every one ends with no bids.  There is even some dipsh*t dealer that is asking $90K for serial number 21, or something like that.  It's interesting to see the spread in markups, everything from a couple thousand over up to double the price.  I imagine that once the first run of 09's comes out, prices will be at or close to sticker.  It will probably take a couple years to get employee pricing on anything with a HEMI.

Oh you bastard... Now I may need to wait and order mine later... When I head to the dealer on Monday I'll have to see what they can do for me about the B5 and that stripe... I LOVE IT and I think I may have just bailed on HEMI Orange...

I found an envelope from Dodge waiting for me in the mail yesterday. It was the Challenger brochure I'd requested off the dodge.com website a few weeks ago.  Another small brochure.  Rather than have to grovel at the dealers trying to get my hands on one of the large ones, I bid on a couple that were listed on ebay, and got one of them for $9.00 total including shipping.  Can't wait to get it and drool, in the meantime I can enjoy the images from it that kissalien posted. :ylsuper:

I was at a local cruise Saturday night and saw a couple I know who bought an orange SRT8 a few weeks ago.  They had one of the new brochures with them, and said the dealers are selling them for $5?!?!?  I never heard of a dealer selling a brochure before!
