Edelbrock RPM manifold - hood clearance question
«

I'm thinking about putting an Edelbrock Performer RPM intake on my 71 383 Challenger R/T. I want to keep the stock dual snorkel air cleaner and I'm wondering if anyone has done this before? Has there been any hood clearance problem? I know that the Performer RPM is taller than the stock intake.
Any responses are appreciated. Thanks!

Don't know if this helps but I have a 360/408 in the 'Cuda with the bulge hood and I have to run a drop air cleaner base and low profile open top K&N to fit. The RPM Air Gap is a tall intake.

We have the cheaper performance plus version of that intake on the 340 with a demon carb and the stock air cleaner did fit. very close thou keep an eye on carb stud if you do it.

If u have a hood insulation pad , it will wear a hole in it, other than that , it will fit!!!!!
