Windshield corner repair....................

Has anyone used these yet?

I was curious as to how good they fit 
 How have you all dealt with this?
 
mopardave, any feedback from customers on these?

 As you can tell from the pics, I need to order a set asap.......even if they fit like sh!t I still need them

These were not around when I fixed my windshield lower corners.  I had to fabricate the pieces with a shrinker/stretcher and hammer/dolly.  Took ~2 hours per side to cut out the old, make and fit the new.  If I had to do it again, I'd seriously consider using these pieces especially if the rust has spread beyond the window channel (which it looks like in the pictures.)   

How are the upper corners?

I have picked the set up and have test fitted them to the car. The fit was good. I only had two areas that I had to work on. First is where the patch meets the contuor of the A-pillar, it wasn't quite the same shape. I was able to squeeze it in the vice then flatten the flanges and it fit the shape really well. (first pic) Second is how much over hang there is on the back flange of the a pillar and the patch. The patch is slightly larger and will need to most likely be grinded down slightly.

To help hold the patches in place and tighten them down I used the threaded door hinge bolts. Basicly I took a bolt the right sized, placed a washer on it. Then I took a nut and rounded it slightly to fit in the hole in the patch. After that I put two large washers that would fit over the nut that I rounded off. This centers the holes in the patch with the door hinge bolt holes and will tighten the patch against the body for welding.  Hoipe that makes sense sorry no pics of it.

The rust thankfully did not spread up the channels, (although on the passenger side you can see I have a few "issues" with the roof)

LunchBox's instructions are right on.It wasn't that bad of a job bacause the AMD parts fit pretty well.Here is a pic from mine.

You should get together with my buddies for motivation and ideas. Do you live near granite st, worcester? They just stripped a 70 rt green challenger 383rtse down to the shell. Its pretty rotted, needs floors etc. His old man is finishing up a 69 gtx. Should be starting on the rtse soon.

  My friend matt owns the shoe store across from the old spaggs, actually directly across from chilli's, under the dress shop.He knows every racer in town. The mopar guy, john roberts, works at the counter at the junkyard on granite st, the first one on the north side. He lives next door. I never met him. Stop in and see matt. His store opens at noon, thurs-fri till 9. He races a 66 gto.

 Hey JS29U, I'm about 5 minutes from Granite St.
I've heard for a while now that one of the guys up the bone yard was a serious Mopar nut, (I don't know if it's Standard, or Linders  )
 Do they do the bodywork themselves?
 If so I'd like to get together with the dude and pick him brain on what the next step is on my Challenger 
Since he's doing a Challenger too maybe he could use some parts. I have a ton of Chally parts.
