727 small block fit
« on: July 02, 2008 - 09:16:08 AM »
Will only a 727 from an E-body fit my Cuda? I have someone who has a sb 727 rebuilt. So before I call back I need to know if only the E-body will fit without mods. I'm not looking to swap tail shafts as I've heard that's not the best thing to do.

Will A or B body 727's fit?

No differences from 727 between A-body B-body or E-body old mate. :2thumbs: Just make sure it is a 727 :swaying:

Thanks. Here is the # off the 727 trans.. Can anyone tell me what this number means? At least want to ensure it's not a 904.

PRoblem!.. tHE NUMBER HE GAVE ME OFF THE trans is not on the 727 decoder chart. I need to understand if this will fit my cuda w/o a tailshaft swap.

The trans ID number is.. 3743102-1  He measured the tailshaft @ exactly 18 1/2". Will this slip right into my 71 Cuda..?

Thanks, Ken
